Welcome to Berkeley F.A.T. Sheep Family!

We welcome everyone who is interested in exchanging life experiences and in how Christian faith could impact our daily life as well as in exploring American culture. We treasure opportunities to get to know each other. We want to strengthen our communication and build deeper relationship with each other.  The Berkeley F.A.T Sheep Family is a group of local Christians serving teachers in universities and professionals and their families who are visiting from China. F.A.T. stands for Faithful, Available and Teachable.

We offer a variety of activities. Every Tuesday night, we meet for dinner, singing, and discussion about American history and culture as well as life challenges such as parenting, relationships and emotional health. We also discuss the Bible in small groups. The children have their own program after dinner. Throughout the week, we conduct on campus English discussion groups with a variety of topics and personal tutoring. Several times a year, we invite guests to speak on topics of special interest. We also take day-trips to places like Sacramento River delta and Angel Island. We have weekend trips to Yosemite National Park and Modesto, where we spend a weekend in American Christian homes.

Our website also offers many resources to help you, including how to buy a used car or make a doctor’s appointment. We are here to help you have a fruitful experience in Berkeley and to gain a better understanding of the Christian faith. We invite you to join Berkeley FAT Sheep Family!!
